Be aware that this is an English book translated to Korean. If I had known that, I probably would not have bought it.

To compare, I also got a copy of the original English and my god it’s just chock full of idioms, slangs, and puns. It’s all of those things that make this book so hard to read for learners. The characters will make a random reference and it’s easy to understand in English but extremely confusing in Korean. Part of reading fluently is being able to predict what comes next. Unfortunately, predicting is very hard with this book because of the random references and jokes that come out of nowhere. It's probably a good challenge for fluent readers but really difficult for new readers in my opinions.

In addition, there are so many times I could tell that a line was translated directly from English. So you’re not seeing how Korean people talk—just people speaking English translated in Korean.

Overall, the book is good in English but I did not enjoy using this Korean version to learn Korean. I don't recommend this book to Korean learners, unless you're used to reading already and want to try something different.
