The vocab comment about the first book in this series holds true for this one as well. You don't need to read the first book to understand this one, but a character from the first book does make an appearance here so it's (minorly) helpful.

If you like murder mysteries, shinigami, heartwarming stories, and medical stuff this is a good book for you. I enjoyed it more that the first book in the series, but I'm partial to cats.
