Personal opinion:
I enjoyed all 12 volumes! It was interesting to see how the main character developed over time. Not only in terms of personality but also his Go skills and passion for the game. These changes felt not forced but gradual and natural. It was also cool to see how the art style developed over time. Plus, I was impressed how this manga conveyed such a strong passion for Go! (it even made me try playing a bit myself :D)
Difficulty:
The manga has full furigana. Except for the Go-specific parts which can be quite complicated, it was not too difficult to understand in my opinion (I already read a number of books and manga before). Lots of everyday life conversations. If you have already experience with reading manga, light novels or visual novels in Japanese, look up some words and focus on the big picture during the Go scenes you'll be fine, I think. For example, it's enough to understand from the character reactions if someone played good/bad or won/lost etc. It's not necessary to understand EVERY nuance of the game (except you want to, of course).
Personally, I would recommend this manga to people who have already experience with manga in Japanese (like slice of life or other 少年 manga). Otherwise stumbling over the Go-specific parts is probably too confusing and disheartening (too many new things to process). It's easier if you are already somewhat familiar with the way characters are talking in manga.
