This manga follows two interwoven stories of families dealing with one child coming out as transgender. It's one of those Stories About A Social Issue; it's a bit melodramatic and nothing stunningly complex, and you're not going to learn a lot about the unique experience of being trans in Japan like you would with「僕が私になるために」, but the overall ending for both families is happy without being too rushed or unrealistic. The trans issues are also handled well IMO - for example, it's mentioned that different people transition in different ways and it depends on the person how they want to handle it, and it's emphasized that there are actually quite a few LGBT people, many of whom feel they have to hide themselves. I think the only thing missing was that I don't remember a mention of people who aren't men or women.
Language-wise, no complex grammar is used. There's a few instances of more difficult vocabulary words, but with the main settings being school and home, most of the dialogue isn't that high-level. No furigana except for names.
