This is a story of a man returning to his hometown after finding out a girl who was close to him in middle school has committed suicide.
There were a ton of mysteries in this book, and the way a lot of them unraveled was superb. Especially in the first half, it felt like Miaki was hand-feeding me chocolates with every chapter. It was delicious. Even though they might not count as spoilers as they're in the first half, I highly recommend you going into this knowing as little as possible so you can experience it for yourself.
It lost my interest in the last half. I left the book not feeling emotionally moved, but void. Like I'd been carved out of any emotion. It feels bad. I also found the ending convenient, and a bit dull.
