A classic jdrama, also good for learning
While the love story is not anything special, it's more than the usual boy meets girl as the two main leads meet when they both feel very far away from making it professionally in their respective fields. There's a lot of pressure to become shakaijin that make the will they won't they drama somewhat less aggravating than in other setups. The two leading actors also have decent chemistry between them, so it's not painfully awkward to watch them fall in love. I rather enjoyed the show!
From a language learning perspective, the majority of the conversation is between peers, so there's quite a lot of casual speech in the show. The main female lead and her roommate often speak very fast when talking to each other, which is a good challenge to listen to. There's maybe a bit of basketball jargon but almost all of it is loan words from English which shouldn't be a problem for anyone reading this review. The show will probably be a good level for anyone who is comfortable with slice of life/romance show dialogues.
