帝国兄弟 is a fairly chill slice-of-life about two brothers and their day-to-day life as leaders of the imperial guards that guard their father, the emperor. It's a fairly goofy and laid-back story; the author's sprinkled in some BL-bait here and there, mostly around the two brothers, but it feels more like a concession for potential readers than anything the author is really pushing in the story. There doesn't appear to by any overarching story arc, at least in the first volume.
Overall it gave off kind of a generic comfy feel to me; there was nothing particularly standout, but nothing I particularly disliked either.
There's full furigana, and vocab is fairly standard; 近衛隊 is probably the only real vocab word of note here.
