This one wasn’t for me. Many of the events felt either incredibly forced or nonsensical, making this book feel more like a skit at times, which felt very out of place in what seems to be a serious book. How the entire plot unfolds and gets tied up just… doesn’t make much sense either. Perhaps if you’re the type of reader that can enjoy a book without questioning whats happening you’d enjoy this one more than I did.

I listened along to the audiobook for this one, for which the book isn’t a very good fit. The narrator didn’t speak particularly fast or slow, but the pauses both during a sentence and in between sentences were too long. Perhaps the breaks are useful when purely listening, especially as a beginner, but for reading along the pacing was far too slow.
