I was hesitant to read this because sequels usually don't work for me but I'm so glad I did.
The follow up really did justice to the characters from the first novel and continued the story in a fully engaging manner.
Language-wise it's nothing different from the first novel. But overall it's rare to see character development on YA so this is a rare gem in that regard.
