Keito was once a rising child star, but due to bullying and an incident where she froze on stage, she has been a shut in for the past 7 years. One afternoon by chance she meets a man who runs a school for kids who have been failed by the educational system and convinces Keito to visit.
This drama is based on the manga series of the same name, authored by 神尾 葉子, best known for 花より男子. I did enjoy this story, but not as much as her previous series. You see some of the spunk of Tsukushi (the main character of 花より男子) in Keito from time to time, but not enough to feel like she will overcome all of her demons by the end of the story. All in all, I was interested enough in this drama to give the manga a go at some point soon though.
From a language learning perspective, there isn't any specialized vocabulary. Most of the story takes place between the four main friends so there's a significant amount of casual speech.
