I guess that the most notable things about this manga is the art style and the weird setting. Overall, there’s a very Showa feel to it.
In terms of language learning, there isn’t much to expect. It’s mostly everyday conversations, with a little bit of gang/yakuza related vocabulary. However, almost everyone uses slang or speaks in a slurred way, so that’s good practice, if you are looking for that.
As of the first volume, not too much is happening. We are just learning about the different characters and the dynamics between them. While not much happened plot-wise, it is quite intriguing.
Edit: having finished the whole story (3 volumes), I can say that it was quite bizarre, but I enjoyed it a lot.
