I stopped reading this about a third of the way through for a few reasons:
Aside from the initial chapter (s), this started to get difficult. From the cover, I was expecting some gourmet/nonbiri theme, but that's not the case (so far anyway). There's a lot of action early on, which was difficult at times.
I found lots of parts really difficult. Such as "strange readings" for words involving references to obscure things, such like an old Japanese race horse... people using a style of speaking typically used towards animals, or just lots of action scenes and descriptions of magic, etc.
I couldn't get on with the MC. They can't speak, but there seems to be almost no effort to communicate and a "well I am a werewolf" mindset. Seemed rather defeatist and unrealistic (maybe I missed something?)
I might pick it up again with a few more books under my belt. It is short, so with some more experience I should be able to finish it off. Plus who knows, I might like it :)
