帝都聖杯奇譚 Fate/type Redline 1

This is a manga that I regretted not being able to read since way before learning Japanese. The Fate Series became so popular that many spin-offs emerged from it, so it can be overwhelming if you are just slightly into them. Let's present what this is:

This is the serious remake of a manga called as well 帝都聖杯奇譚, which in itself is a comedy spin-off of another comedy gag manga called コハエース, a spin-off based on the characters of the original 月姫 , as well as Fate. But do not let this fool you. They decided to serialize it because of it's lurking selling potential.

Do you like Fate? If yes, would you find enjoyable a story in 1945 Tokyo with mostly historical Japanese servants, nazis, Japanese military, battles with 18+levels of gore, great art, slightly comedic scenes and a non-negligible risk of getting permanently charmed by the protagonist's 17 year old grandma? Then give it a try.

Manga can not normally compare with the complexity of novels, but this is as far as they can get. The symbolic 6★ I'd give it get down to just 5★ because the rate of new volumes being less that one volume per year (at least it is consistent).
