ゲッシング•ゲーム is an early example of the BL genre; we follow protagonist ミシェル across three different periods of time and watch him struggle to connect with other people, among them estranged family. Despite this being labeled as early BL, romance is not a focus of this work; like other earlier '70s manga, it tends to discuss on the tragic and how the protagonist deals with trauma, both past and present.
I thought it was an interesting work from a historical standpoint; I've heard that the author was also an early writer of yuri manga.
There's almost no furigana given, and while the language isn't archaic or anything it can be kind of tough sometimes to figure out who's talking to to who and about what. This manga, like others I've read of the period, has no qualms about putting multiple thoughts in a single speech bubble, all sans period.
