Entertaining for a children's novel
I found this children's book rather entertaining. The children have to "play" a game where one member is an imposter (werewolf) that they have to identify. If they fail to identify them, then one person gets killed. So as you can imagine it's a thriller, but for a children's book the stakes are rather high! So I found myself wanting to read on to find out how they resolved this.
I guess if you like shows like Liar Game then you would find this interesting.
The grammar isn't too bad, someone with N3 level grammar knowledge shouldn't come across too many issues. Like any real book, vocab will be your main issue (which will be the case even for N1/N2 students). Everything has furigana, which is helpful though. Likewise the children's surnames all involve a colour, which makes remembering who is who rather easy.
