Ridiculous But Fun

This was a fun, cute (but occasionally kinda gross), and ridiculous anime. The main character, Kaede/Maple is, as the title suggests, both OP and a totally abnormal player. In the later episodes, she gains skills like transforming into a gross giant Godzilla-cockroach thingy and also an angel, which is a very weird contrast that definitely shows the different sides of her in-game abilities. I liked Sally and the other guild members.

The pacing was decent, although it picks up as the show goes on. This is a gaming SOL anime, so it combines comedy, grinding for levels/skills, making a guild, and in-game events. Because of all of the gaming terms and made up words for skill names, I found myself using the subtitles (which I had blurred in LLN) more often than not. 3.5 stars. Recommended if the premise appeals.
