A tricky book
Very little kanji, so a lot of hiragana to parse. That would be okay if the vocabulary was fairly low level, but there's vocab that's going to be unknown. So it's actually a little tricky to read.
The information about each prefecture is pretty basic, due to the amount of room, so eventually a pattern emerges of saying what products are grown or eaten in that prefecture. Whilst there is a WK book club, I just did it on my own. Very cute illustrations though. So by the end, I didn't feel like I'd learnt much about Japan's prefectures, nor did I feel I gained a lot of vocab or reading experience..
