Bit of a meh volume compared to the first one
Story: Continuing from the last volume, this is the manga that fully introduces L, and for the anime fans, has the entirety of Naomi's plotline. Other than that, not too much happens, which is fine, just a bit slow and can be a bit meh to finish. Not exactly a page turner.
Language Learning: This series WILL drive detective/mystery lingo into your head. I am around an N3 level and I have watched the TV show in the past (with JP audio+subs) so I was able to comprehend most of the words, and read it fine without a dictionary using past knowledge and context. But if you're at an N3 level and have never dipped your toes into another mystery (excluding the first volume) then it may be a bit challenging. Grammar was overall N3 and below, nothing special, same level as the first manga.
Art: Pretty good! I read the physical version, so I can't speak for any e-book misprints.
