A hilarious first volume, but it's downhill from there

Language wise, this is very manageable at lower N3 with a dictionary to help every now and again. Still super easy to follow if you don't want to look anything up and are more into extensive reading. The biggest challenge I think is the colloquial language (some characters more than others), there being a respectable amount of slang. But generally speaking grammar and vocab are pretty slice of life themed. There's furigana all over, except for text messages and handwritten text, but there aren't tooooo many instances of that.

Now story wise.... there are some tropes here that can be turn offs for some. There's an age gap which is the central issue of this romance, and some 4 volumes give or take of a love square that had me wanting to quit reading. The reason why I didn't is because all characters are quite likable, and the fluff keeps me entertained enough lol

This series is funniest at the start, I think the first few volumes are definitely worth a read. The art is very cute and the characters are all full of personality (even the cat! lol) It can be very heartwarming, but it's no masterpiece.

(I'm still some 3 volumes from finishing it, so I might edit this later.)
