A cute, simple manga aimed at children. It's mostly written in hiragana, with some kanji with full furigana. Each chapter is standalone, with a small cast of recurring characters--Choko, Reito, his younger brother Raito, Choko's best friend Youko, and some nameless recurring classmates.
The vocabulary for each chapter tends to repeat, so it's good for reinforcing new words. The grammar is likewise repetitive, so I would recommend it to leaners new to reading manga.
There are three volumes in the series. Since it's aimed towards children, Choko's adventures are never too high-stakes. There are some fantastical elements, like fairies and mermaids. Overall, I found it a very cute, charming story, and I plan to read the remaining two volumes as well.
