Lots of content warnings...
So, after finishing it... I... uhm... I have opinions. I think the first half was really good and interesting and covering topics that I haven't really come across in Japanese books. Some of those topics really surprised me unpleasantly (see content warnings below). And, as far as I can tell, the book seems to be #ownvoices, though if the book mirrors the author's view, he probably needs therapy and be kept far away from minors.
However, the second half really let's the story down. The MC did some shitty things and has no consequences. He used Miura and while she is mad/hurt for like a second, she immediately forgives him and tries to make life easier for him, etc. and he hasn't even apologized or anything...While the first half is almost dark, the second half is kinda too happy and too easy.
There is also basically a whole chapter that tries to make you feel sorry and sympathetic towards a pedophile (or hebephile to be precise). Uhm... yeah... no. You can't help what you feel, but you sure can help what you do. Once you act on those feelings, I am done with you. The fact that not a single time the relationship between the MC and his "boyfriend" is condemned, really put me off. Not to mention that the MC has to call the "boyfriend" daddy during sex, because the "boyfriend" is fantasizing about f*ing his own son who is in middle school. 🤮🤮🤮

It was an interesting read, but it also made me kinda sick and I was definitely expecting a much more light-hearted, tropey 青春 novel.
