The Action Continues
Book three picks up not soon after where book two left off; I won't write plot details here since they're spoilers for both people reading and not reading along, but suffice to say book three has an abundance of thrills, suspense, and heartwarming scenes. We meet some old friends and enemies (?) and make a few new ones.
Book three is about the same length as book two at 217 pages, and you'll zoom right on through if you've been reading each volume and been reviewing your vocab. Nothing really new here historical- or nautical-wise in terms of vocabulary compared to the first two books. Same for the grammar; it's consistent with what was seen in the previous two books.
This book is about the point where I would recommend maybe looking up and reviewing events related to Britain and Spain in the late 1500s, as familiarity with them will give good context for some of the events and revelations given in this volume.
