Story: I really loved this series. The two leads meet at the aquarium club and become instantly infatuated with each other, and form a very close friendship. Over the course of the story have to figure out who they are to themselves and each other. The series shifts between their two perspectives in a really excellent way. The supporting characters are mostly really well developed - the third main (a めっち元気 character named Kaede) really adds a lot of depth as the story develops. The family dynamics of the lead characters are really wholesome. The story left me guessing on whether or not it was a romance or not. Despite the often heavy romance vibe, it is actually a story about a [more than platonic] friendship.

Lastly, since the story is set in Nagahama, Ehime, this manga has done a great job portraying this element. Many places are being referenced from real-world places, take the Nanahama High School being referenced from the Ehime Prefectural Nagahama High School for example. Also, by reading this manga in the Japanese language, you can experience the Iyo dialect, a dialect spoken in the Ehime prefecture, feeling strange yet attractively unique, although it is a little difficult to understand. Furthermore, as the story is set in the seaside town, a calm oceanic vibe is being given, which truly represents the beauty of Ehime itself.
I'll add that I found the dialect a lot easier to understand than characters in other books like 雨でも晴れでも or NEW GAME. It has furigana throughout. While I wouldn't recommend it as an early manga, I think it's okay after you've read a few.
