神様はじめました 第1巻

神様はじめました is a supernatural romantic comedy about a high school student named Nanami who becomes homeless after her deadbeat gambler father disappears. Not sure what to do or where to go, Nanami happens upon a stranger in distress and helps him out — in gratitude, the stranger gives her his own home, but neglects to mention that it comes with responsibilities and a grumpy kitsune. In addition to the manga, there is an anime TV adaptation.

I found this manga more difficult than expected, due to the antiquated speaking style of multiple characters, uncommon vocabulary, and varied fonts — it's not super difficult, but it's certainly not suitable for beginners below N3, and even N3 learners may struggle, especially if they're unfamiliar with the story. All kanji have furigana, but every digital copy I looked at were low resolution, making the furigana fuzzy and hard to make out; definitely recommend a physical copy over digital, if possible.
