A comedy about a group of lonely high school students who found a club to learn how to make friends.
Entertainment: I expected the usual comedy about yet another high school loner who suddenly magically becomes the love interest of several popular girls, but this is not at all what the book focuses on. The real protagonists are the club's two female students and most of the story centers around their interactions with each other. And by interactions I mean constant fighting. Don't expect romance anywhere, instead the story is a series of hilariously over the top insults and arguments. The MC is mostly reduced to a passive observer who occasionally comments on what is going on. Only towards the end does the story come back to him and he actually gets to briefly do something.
Language Learning: A bit more uneven in difficulty compared to other beginner books I have read so far, with lots of short and very easy to read dialogue, interrupted by a few longer, more difficult to read passages with descriptions of the setting or the MC's past. Maybe not ideal for complete beginners but overall still easy to read.
Overall: 4.5/5
