Fun read. Not at all useless for language learning but full of niche kanji and vocab.

The book is really fun and laidback in terms of story, it is in fact a slice of life as the name suggest (assuming 日常系 means slice of life, which I'm not 100% sure about). You're going to enjoy it especially if you're somewhat cultured in such kind of anime tropes, as it also displays a lot of self-mockery (not as well as Eminence in Shadow does for example, but not bad either) about the theme (and the caharcter). The work is also full of references to other cult series.

The main character has supernatural abilities, but still has as much chuunibyou as one could get, somehow. Because of this trait of his he loves using a copius amount of niche kanji, and the usual fantasy genre speech (e.g. 我が...), although it's not that pedant as to get annoying, it's just comical.

With that in mind I'll just say that you will find useful n2+ vocab and kanji, but also a lot of useless ones. Those useless ones though are really interesting to take a look into the workings of kanji kentei max level types of kanji, and gets you used to the most random employment of ruby/yomigana, which can be interesting.
