Yakuza BL with a dash of Omegaverse
Was not the easiest read for me, yakuza language + ksb made it sometimes a bit challenging but it didn’t slow me down. Would say the level felt like ~27-28.
Ended up really enjoying this way more than I thought I would. The cover might make one think it’s “fine art” but was surprised. It was honestly not what I expected and turned out to be an action story with some romance. So nice when the story is not set in high school and about adults.
Don’t want to spoil anything but there is a typical boy meets boy and yakuza life happens. In my opinion, nothing was really overdone or overly cliche. No deep dive into anyone particular theme, nothing felt forced with the right amount of balance and with a little romance. Definitely one of my favorite BL stories read in a long time!
The only criticism, if I had to find one, would be possible deeper character development (a little more about where they came from) could have been added, but wasn’t necessary. There was just enough backstory for everything. Really hope there is a follow-up spin off. Enjoyed this so much!
The physical copy is ~194 pages but I had purchased the digital copy with was 200 pages (a few bonus drawings/pages)
