A mix of serious, political, fun, shenanigans, a potential rival, encounters with homophobia, and a potential rival, but this time for Rae's affection! We also get some backstory of Rae's high school years.

I'm not so crazy about the new character (moreso how she is responded to), but she's not terrible either. Also I love seeing Rae's level-headed approach to confronting homophobia throughout the series. She's a great example of a character who can turn her past hardships into strength - and it's interesting to see when and how she uses that strength.
