This volume starts off sloooow. I almost dropped it at the halfway point but am glad I kept going. With the introduction of the second vampire hunter we finally find stakes (although not any wooden ones 😂). Since this was published in 2018 without a follow up it's probably doomed to be a one shot, but it feels like it ends with enough of a conclusion to not avoid it because of that.
For language learning there's no furigana, but it's quite easy as long as you know a bit of vampire vocabulary. I think I looked up about 10 words in the whole thing. I wouldn't recommend it as a first manga, mostly because there's a bit of specialized vocab and there's only one volume. But at level 17, you could do a lot worse than vampire yuri.
