Mostly easy to understand parable about the futility of war
It was a bit flat. Some of it was a bit cryptic. I did think about it for a few days afterwards, mainly about the part where the old man offers to let the younger man cut off his head, so the younger one can become a war hero. Why was it called "Nobara" (wild rose) though? Different readers will probably interpret it differently.
