Basically identical to the anime adaptation (tho some parts in the anime are a bit exaggerated). I was surprised that unlike other LNs I've read, this one did not have a lot of internal monologue depth, and absolutely zero info dumping. So having read it after the anime felt a bit underwhelming. Sometimes I felt a bit bored, and sometimes very excited. In general, I found the second half much more enjoyable. I may read volume 2, ahead of the anime.
The audiobook is really great, though the company behind it (dwango) is really aggravating.
