ルリドラゴン 1

A very cute read with a good mix of school day life vocabulary and a bit of dragon powers type vocabulary, as to be expected from the premise! The characters are all very enjoyable, and Ruri especially feels very much like a teenage girl in a way that's endearing and fun to read.

This was my first time reading something rated in the early 20~ range on natively all the way through, and it wasn't very hard for me. The only exceptions was that I would occasionally get lost with what Ruri's mom was saying, but checking the bookclub discussions for those sections was great for getting my understanding back on track!

The first volume ends on a bit of a cliffhanger, but the next volume is set to be released in September 2024 so it's not much of a problem now.
