More than meets the cover

First of all some general comments. Unlike what the cover and the poster inside suggest, this is not a pink novel. The book contains erotic elements, but without spoiling too much, there is way more to it.

The good:

• Parallel narration from the perspective of two protagonists
• Extensive social commentary on the role of sex in interpersonal relationships
• Mixes drama, humor, daily life and has potential to be a good standalone movie or anime series
• A very good choice from a language learning perspective. It's not too difficult, but contains a lot of more advanced vocabulary.

The bad:

• The book is clearly set up as a prologue to a multi-book series (3 are out currently)
• Not much happens in general
