Plot: A young man in college is approached to become a sex worker for a club catering to primarily older women.
Language notes: Mostly straight forward grammar and the vocabulary, while having a few more 'adult' terms than your average novel, isn't too crazy. There's no slang I can think of and no particularly flowery speech.
Review: While this can feel like a long string of sex scenes (it is), each one serves some kind of purpose for the narrator in coming to understand more the human experience and the wideness of human sexuality. It's not heavy handed in doing this which I appreciated. That said, it's not an emotionally deep and impactful book. I would consider this a casual read that simply isn't careless about the topics it introduces, while still being more surface level for the sake of enjoyment.
Audiobook: I read this with the audiobook and I don't really recommend it. It's read by the author (neat!) but since he's not a narrator by profession the reading feels pretty choppy and I found myself more ignoring it than sinking into it like I do with other audiobooks.
