Kind of a boring story but invaluable for gauging your progress. Something people don't fully understand is that reading vertically forces your brain to think vertically, which can be exhausting after decades of primarily reading horizontal text. You can't skim naturally like you otherwise would and it can be difficult to tell where words/phrases/ scenes end. This reader is a great free resource to help build that vertical-reading stamina.

I just finished N3 and read this without any lookups - there were a few words I'd never heard before but the context is clear enough that a dictionary is unnecessary. Excited to move onto novels next.
