Suspenseful book that keeps you guessing despite you, as the reader, knowing exactly how the murder occurred and by whom it was committed (like, from the first chapter haha). Like this author’s other works, he uses pretty simple language to accomplish fresh ideas. I did have to look up some words here and there as there are some discussions between a physicist and mathematician that I couldn’t quite understand lol. But also the whole logic of their thinking was overall a bit hard for me to wrap my head around (man, how does this author think of this stuff).
I did get a little bored around the middle since we have all the facts since the beginning, and we just see detectives running around in circles basically. And it’s a little repetitive, though it did mean I got used to some common vocabulary and lines of thinking by the end of a the book and it got easier to me to read. But when I got to 75%, I burned through the rest to find out HOW it’s going to end.
I think this is a great read for those wanting to read extensively as the world is ‘small’ with it being a very focused plot and a small set of characters. It can also be a fun challenge for intermediate readers, as they continually use certain vocabulary and you can get a feel for the writing style.
