Well, I have to say that I didn't enjoy this book. The main love interest is impulsive, aggressive, and manipulative, but it's supposed to be "okay" because he is good looking or something. The pacing isn't great either, with nothing happening for a few years (in universe)/ half the book, then everything moving forward in a few weeks (in universe)/ a couple of chapters. That being said, it was the first book of the authors, who's apparently very popular now, so one might expect the quality to improve overtime.
About the 獣人 "series", I want to point out that they are all unrelated stories set in the same universe (in particular, this book covers a complete story). Well, it seems there are crossover characters, but they are just there as a nod to the overall consistence of the world. If you feel like going forward with this series, you do not need to read them all or follow any specific order. I also want to point out that some of those were published as TL (erotica); you may want to skip those if you aren't interested.
