This is a bit of an odd one to describe the difficulty of - there is very little dialogue, and what there is ranges from 「あなたは誰だ？」to Bible quotes. It's an incredibly surreal, symbolic movie with no clear interpretation or meaning, so perhaps it's okay if you don't understand everything the characters say.
It's a very lovely movie, too, with beautifully detailed art, although the pacing is very slow. I thought it was a good kind of slow movie - though it overdid it at points - but if you're not into pacing that couldn't outrace a snail, it's probably not the movie for you.
