I picked this up because of the fun title, but I was not prepared for this. Enjoyed it quite a lot more than I was expecting, and the story really hit kind of hard. As an important note: I listened to the audiobook.

The plot is not too crazy or revolutionary for a rom-dram LN, but the pacing felt good to me and there were enough twists and turns (including a really great transition into the climax of the story) that constantly kept me engaged. There was enough foreshadowing that I thought "aha!" as each new twist came out. It should be said, however, that this touches on some very dark themes so just be ready for that if you read.

I think people that enjoy these sorts of supernatural-touched romantic dramas like 三日間の幸福 or 夏へのトンネル、さよならの出口 would definitely enjoy this one too - and it would definitely help if you can enjoy a certain amount of heavy-handedness with the angst. This is a story that starts with two people trying to destroy Christmas because others are happier than them on it.
