A solid followup to the first volume, this one adds a couple fun new characters and we're starting to see the core cast interact a bit more with the "real world" which I suspect will become even more prominent in volume 3. This volume does have a handful of subject-matter jargon words that come in with one of the new characters being an angel, and there are a few bits where the grammar can get a bit tricky when chaos is really going down, but I still think it's a good level in general and I generally got everything after re-reading a touch speech bubble slowly once or twice. There's maybe one or two jokes that are a but too cultural for me to pick up on, like apparently boiled tofu doesn't go with rice and even suggesting it does is a sin, and there's a gag where they'll censor a letter of something from another series to avoid copyright and I won't get the reference, but the humor generally lands for me and I like the vibe it's settling into.

Each chapter is just the right length to get you invested without become exhausting, which is good for getting you to go "okay, one more chapter" and really getting that reading momentum. I also like that there does seem to be some character and world development each volume, and the cliffhanger at the end seems like it's setting up another interesting addition to the cast.
