It's a pretty bland and uneventful read, but I do think that there's merit in reading something relatively uneventful if you're looking for your first manga. There are just a few randomly difficult grammar points (like, N3+) but they are sparse and easy to look up. Otherwise, this is a great manga for someone who has finished Genki I, is maybe somewhat into Genki II, and is looking to dive into native material.
