Deeply flawed, but very interesting dark fantasy. The sun has gone out, and the only light in the world is from rivers that flow with magical light, where the remnants of humanity huddle from the once-human monsters in the darkness. It's a really intense concept, and the horror of it is well conveyed.
Unfortunately, it suffers a lot from having combat scenes that would be better off in a silly power-levels shounen anime than this, and there are some general decisions that the author makes that just don't work. Especially the horny nun. I don't even think the author was going for fanservice with her - but it just didn't work.
Anyway, I liked it, but it could have been so much better.
