A drama about Itou, a writer, heading to Hokkaido to learn more about Chiaki, a rumored bear-hunter. Initially seen as just a happy-go-lucky lover of the outdoors, this first volume quickly brings in a lot of interesting developments that add to the depth of the characters. It's a refreshing series with a lot of thrilling moments.
Language-wise, there is a LOT of vocabulary about guns, animals, animal parts, equipment, and hunting in general. There is a lot to take in at once, but because of the frequency, it gets easier over time. Characters also speak with a bit of an accent, particularly Chiaki and her sister, but it's not particularly thick.
Overall, certainly not the best choice for a first book(I tried lol), but after getting a little mileage, it is highly recommended.
