Short stories about love with a supernatural twist
This book caught my attention a little more than most children's books because each story has an element of fantasy or something supernatural. For example, the first story is about a boy who has flowers growing out of his head, another story is about a girl who suddenly becomes invisible to everyone. I was usually entertained by trying to guess what the supernatural twist would be. Apart from that, the stories are not that exciting and everything is resolved with a happy ending. Many of the stories are loosely connected, with characters from previous short stories appearing in other stories. There's also one story that features a queer couple.
The language was simple and there was a lot of repetition in the vocabulary. However, the colloquialisms can be a bit challenging.
All in all, I would recommend this as a book for beginners.
