I would grade the level 0 at around the learnnatively 6 mark. The level 1 I would grade about the 10 mark. The level 2 I would grade about the 12 mark. So this makes it very difficult to give an overall score for it. I read it around the level 12 ability level, so flew through the first few books. There are a couple of Hans Christen Anderson tales in Japanese; personally I prefer Japanese folk stories that are unfamilar to me. I would recommend the Ask tadoku series over this one, but I'm not disappointed I got this.
