Crónica de una muerte anunciada

In my opinion, this is one of the most accessible of García Márquez’s books. It has quite short chapters and is written in a fairly journalistic style, without so much of the flowery language found in novels like ‘El amor en los tiempos de cólera’.

Although the story is quite simple, the author tells it again from different points of view, adding more details and perspectives every time. This makes it an enjoyable read.
