Great adaptation of the manga with really enjoyable characters and story! Lots of cute moments, and lots of inspiring 頑張らなきゃ moments - particularly from the main PoV character, Aoba. In some ways a very nice portrayal (and light critique) of game design & development, but it's also very lightened up to make it less depressing. The mangaka previously worked as a character designer & modeler, and history illustrator, but quit due to working conditions. In general it's a very upbeat show, with excellent character development. Watching Aoba as well as the team work and struggle together and inspire each other (while sometimes getting a bit competitive) is really nice!! It has its serious moments, hillarious moments, and nice touches - like characters using Unity and writing C++ code that resembles actual game code. The music is also really excellent, catchy and inspiring.
Language-wise the main challenge is the game production and 会社 lingo. So the show varies from easy everyday sort of speech to "I need to look up every other word" sort of sentences. There is also a character who speaks in Kansai dialect (Osaka-ben specifically).
