As previous volumes, mostly identical to the anime. We meet a certain 生臭坊主 in this volume, who adds a lot to the story. Also the antagonist of the 2nd half has a pretty cool ability! I find Kagome's reaction to Miroku kind of hard to buy. Like he ambushes them, kidnaps her, steals the 四魂のかけら, tries to kill them (in self-defense), and is also shown to be a swindler and a lech, and she's just down to travel with him. Also her holding Inuyasha back from taking the shards from Miroku, and even offering one to Miroku is contrary to their entire mission.
