Classic 90s shoujo - for better and worse
It's a classic for a reason, but that being said the show is 49% filler (the first season is about 72% filler) - which is the its biggest strength and flaw. The filler episodes range from brilliant to incredibly painful. Unless you're really dedicated, I'd recommend following this wonderful guide, and just adding in any episodes that seem personally interesting to you.
The show's real strength is in its characters, and its often hyper, juvenile silliness. In terms of language, most of it is what you'd expect - and the show makes for great listening practice. When it comes to the actual main plot, there's a lot of fantasy/lore vocab that can easily go over your head... especially when the villains are talking... but also this show's core is really its slice of life content, and it barely matters if you understand the actual plot on more than a basic level. There's of course lots of repeated catch phrases, move/ability names, etc.
Anyway it's a really fun watch, if you skip to the parts you're interested in! If you want something more concise, that focuses on plot and lore, and sticks to the manga, then check out 美少女戦士セーラームーンクリスタル | L28 instead.
