I was going to rate this much differently, but then I checked the beginning again. The first half is definitely harder than the second. 26 is probably too high though.
Formality The dragon god is very formal. As in he uses a lot of くださる, いただくand 殿.
Grammar The formal grammar honestly made it easier to parse for me. Not much issue in this regard.
Kanji Most of the rare kanji aren’t used enough to learn them well. However, they are used in specific enough contexts to just guess them right and keep on reading.
For example, literally every time 人魚 is mentioned, there’s a picture of a mermaid. When he mentions purification, it’s always in proximity of a priestess. Both of these kanji appear about 4 times each in total. There’s a lot of these and I don’t think I would recognize any of them (except 人魚) in another manga.
Entertainment I was skeptical about reading this one because the summary makes it sound like the dragon god pursues the Chiharu in a forceful, creepy way. In reality, it’s much more of an innocent, confused way. Sooo instead, I disliked it because it was too cute and light. But the characters quickly grew on me. The dragon god really is so adorable. I’m hooked at this point.
